What is Co-Living?

Co-living is a shared-housing model in which communities are built around shared spaces in the home, allowing residents to live affordably within a social space. Living with Living London means you are always invited and never obliged. Co-living is a shared housing model. Residents share kitchens, living rooms and other communal spaces with other residents and have both shared bathrooms or an en-suite bathrooms. Everything is included in our monthly flat fee payment; utilities, furnishing, kitchen supplies and all the essentials you would need upon moving into a new place. Living London also provide complimentary broadband, weekly cleaning, regular gardening and property maintenance.

Co-Living Concept

Co-living also known as communal living, co-housing or shared living allows residents to build communities around shared spaces like kitchens and living rooms.

You will never have to worry about utility bills or Wifi, the house is also stocked with the essentials and our cleaning team attend every week.

Flat Monthly Fee

While living with us you do not have to worry about a thing. You will pay one flat monthly fee and everything else is included. No utility bills, no splitting the bills and no unexpected maintenance.

Co Living Spaces

Each of our houses includes one or more kitchens, common areas and living rooms as well as co-working spaces allowing you plenty of room to cook, work and relax all while getting to know people from all around the world. All of our homes are exclusively designed to be comfortable to all residents in any room of the house.

Your room will be move into just like the rest of the house. Our kitchens are stocked with appliances, cookware and most things you will need to make a home cooked meal.

Community

Living London is more than just a place to live and work. We create a co-living community that offers both general and professional networking, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with people from all over the world with a variety of backgrounds and expertise.

In addition to designing our spaces to make living together a breeze, we offer multiple events to help you get to know the entire Living London community, whether at a movie night or while out and about at a pub night.

Most frequent questions and answers

Before Arrival

Before you move in we charge 5 weeks security deposit which will be returned to you (subject to arrears and dilapidations) after your stay with us.

All our bedrooms are double in size, and start from £600.00 pcm. The pricing varies on the time of year, availability, size of room and location.

Availability of rooms consistently changes, we are happy to send over our current availability on request (based on the type of room you are looking for and location) in an offer when you apply. The availability in the offer is subject to change as well as people sign up to rooms on a first come first served basis. You pay monthly by direct debit and extend your stay along the way.

Our cleaning service are in-house. Our employed and trusted team members prepare your room before your stay, then clean all common and shared areas weekly with a re-stock of essentials.

The typical people who live in our spaces are between the ages of 21 and 35; around 20% are international residents. All residents are professionals working in London within a variety of professions. The gender breakdown varies but on average is 50:50.

All our bedrooms are double but vary in size with either private ensuite bathrooms or shared bathrooms, depending on your budget. Let us know what you are looking for and we will be happy to try and accommodate you.

Your new room is reserved after you complete a couple of steps. Accept an offer, pay a reservation fee, verify your identification, complete an application form and sign your agreement. Your first payment will include payment for your first months fee, 5 week deposit and a contribution to council tax.

Our minimum term of contract is 5 months and rolls monthly thereafter so for as long as you like. If you need to move then we require one calendar months notice to terminate the contract.

It depends on the house. We have smaller apartments with 2 residents up to 10 residents.

Our smallest private rooms are 6.51 sq m and range up to 58.7 sq m for our largest bedroom suites and we have everything in between. To see the exact size of our rooms please schedule a viewing of the house. Viewings can be scheduled using the contact us form.

Upon Arrival

We offer a self check in process where you are able to collect keys from secure lock box on your arrival to the house. You will conduct a self check in of the room on your arrival which highlights the condition of the room and its furnishings on your arrival.

During your stay

Your room, bed, move in ready furniture, utilities, cleaning services, working space, communal spaces, bathroom and new friends. We give you complimentary WiFi, weekly cleaning and gardening to make your stay more enjoyable.

You will receive an invoice via our online signatory platform. You may pay in any electronic format; we accept the majority of card payments and bank transfers. Please be aware that if you are transferring monies internationally you will be liable for any bank charges and also transfer time may take longer. Our monthly fee is due on the first of each month and paid by direct debit.

The Council discourages residential housing from placing locks on bedrooms doors for fire safety purposes. Living London is committed to providing safe and secure coliving spaces through trust and mutual respect. Bedroom doors are unlocked because it is a display of this trust and respect – we will also need access weekly to your room to clean and carry out any necessary maintenance.

Yes! We are happy to have our residents stay longer however we can not extend your stay if we do not know about your extension. As soon as you decide to extend your stay please let us know by emailing hello@livinglondon.co.uk or notice@livinglondon.co.uk

Just address your mail to your new house’s address. Follow the directions within your move in guide for more information.

All our houses have full washing machines for your use. Some houses will have dryers also. You are able to find out which houses have which services on a viewing. Alternatively our members receive exclusive discounts with laundry companies.

You are responsible for any guests and they must abide by the rules as well. We do not permit prolonged periods of over night guests from any resident.

No animals/pets are allowed to stay at the houses.

We have a few rooms in which we accept couples – please get in touch to find out which properties have a couple allocation. 97% of our rooms are for single occupancy only.

After Your stay

We know there are a lot of moving parts when packing and preparing to move out so we give you a helpful guide with important information.
Security deposits are refunded within 30 days of departure from the Living London premises. Deposits are returned to your nominated account and this is the only way we return funds.
