When we decided to expand Outpost beyond New York City, we looked for a neighborhood with a strong sense of community, central to plentiful dining, shopping and entertainment options, and with easy access to public transportation. That’s Japantown.
Our house in Japantown features two floors of exclusively designed spaces above a ground-level restaurant, and is a stone’s throw away from plenty of dining and entertainment options. It has a large co-working space perfect for group brainstorms or solo projects, relaxing common spaces and everything you’ll need to feel right at home from the moment you step inside. All you need to bring is your suitcase.
This coliving house is located in the heart of Japantown, within walking distance of multiple parks and an array of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment. The closest BART station is Civic Center.
The closest Muni station is Van Ness, serving the J, K/T, L, M, N and S lines. Multiple bus lines serve the neighborhood.
This house is newly renovated, with hardwood floors and updated appliances. The kitchen and common areas are massive compared to the average San Francisco apartment, and there’s a large co-working area with multiple tables, so you’ll never have to worry about finding room to be productive. And when you’re ready to relax, the common areas are set up to help you do just that.
This space is move-in ready; all you have to do is show up with your suitcase.
We worked with interior designers to make the house comfortable for all of our members in any room of the house. For the furniture we used only the best suppliers and materials, from real wooden surfaces to sleek countertops.
We’ve thought of all the little things you need to feel right at home upon arrival.
Living in Living London means comfort, convenience, and value. Access to first-rate amenities and services mean you save every month over a traditional studio apartment.
Your room will be move-in ready, just like the rest of the house; there’s no need to even bring a pillow. There are single and shared rooms, depending on availability and your price range.
The kitchen is on the third floor of the house and has plenty of counter space for cooking on your own or with a group, as well as two fridges so everyone has plenty of space for their food. The spaces are used for potluck dinners, solo meals and chats in the evening over a glass of wine.
The co-working area in the Japantown House can comfortably seat up to 12 people, with plenty of desk space to accommodate whichever projects you’re working on. The co-working area includes a printer (paper and ink included), fax and scanner to make sure you’ll always be ready to be productive.
The living room is located on the third floor of the Japantown House. It comes equipped with a PlayStation, a TV — Netflix and Chromecast included — and plenty of room to lounge around after a hard day’s work.
We provide many bathroom essentials, as well. There are two full bathrooms in the Japantown House, both of which are free to use regardless of which room you’re in.
The Japantown House also has a washer and dryer where members can do their laundry for free in the comfort of their own home.
Your membership gives you the opportunity to move between all our houses month to month, allowing you to see what it’s like to live in different neighborhoods.
We screen all candidates before approving applications so that there are no worries about moving into a new place with new people — only excitement!
